THE Infidel director Josh Appignanesi and producer Uzma Hasan made a six-hour round-trip to spend 30 minutes with Jewish Telegraph readers.

The dedicated pair wanted to know what our readers thought of the comedy, so were happy to make the long journey up from London.

They arrived at Piccadilly Station at 7.50pm and an hour later they were heading back in a taxi for the train home.

"That was the best screening yet," an impressed Josh told JT deputy editor Mike Cohen, who had organised the free preview.

He then revealed that this was his first visit to Manchester, but he had been so impressed by what he had seen that he wanted to make a return trip.

Josh and Uzma spent 20 minutes answering questions from our readers before chatting to individual audience members - and then racing off for their train home.

The Infidel had its London premiere last night.
