The Shorts and Shades Beach Party will be held on Thursday, October 9 (10pm-1am) at Maccabi for young people aged 15+.

The 19-year-olds, who used to do youth work for Maccabi and completed the GB leadership course, want to maintain the tradition of the post-Yom Kippur dance.

Darren said: "I think that after fasting, we're all due some fun and that's what it's about. We are making it different from previous years by having some surprise activities in addition to dancing."

Josh added: "The main point of the evening, as well as everyone having a good time, is to get younger people involved. We would really like anyone with some spare time who can help on the night to get in touch and also to join the committee, which will be for over 17s."

Tickets, priced £10, include a free refreshment and a raffle ticket.
