LEEDS YOUTH NEWS
A crate time was had by all

IT was action all the way for 30-plus members of the 22nd North Leeds (Hillel) Scouts and 61st Leeds Guides at Kibblestone Scout Camp in Staffordshire last week.

During the annual camp, participants joined in numerous activities including the latest craze, crate stacking, in addition to archery, rock climbing, abseiling and other outdoor pursuits.

Over five days scouts and guides cooked the majority of meals, one in an outdoor shelter they had built.

Youngsters also enjoyed a traditional Shabbat dinner, morning service and ended with havdallah.

A campfire took place on the last night where scouts, guides and leaders sang campfire songs and performed sketches.

Scout leader Jonathan Sumroy said: "Big credit goes to all the leaders and helpers who worked hard both before and during the camp period."

Plans are now underway for the new term.

Anyone interested in joining scouts or guides should telephone Anthony Taylor on 0013 2610388.
